      What'd O'Dowd do this year? And don't get me wrong, that's not some snarky way of saying he didn't do anything, I just really have no idea what he did this year.

        He fired Clint Hurdle. And that firing (and subsequent hiring of Jim Tracy) jump started an amazing run for that team.

          Brian Cashman, this is a no brainier. He spent the boss money Wisely again and won another ring, how much better can you be.

            The award has already been given out.

            And by "spent wisely" you mean outbid every other team for 3 of the top 5 free agents last year...


            **Not that there's anything wrong with Yankees spending money. I disagree with MLB's policies, but it's the Yankees money so I'm not going to knock them for spending it. I just don't think that there GM should win the award because they essentially have an unlimited budget**

              I'm not sure how good of a GM it takes to spend money on CC Sabathia and Mark Teixeira.

                  Spending money on Sabathia and Teixeira, much like not sticking my face on a stove, is not wisdom, it's just obvious.
