Horrible trade for the cubs, I guess they had to throw in someone good to get rid of Aaron Miles. Jake Fox could have started in right instead of Gameboard

"Gameboard" is owed something like $20 million dollars over the next two years. The only way he doesn't start is if he is injured or traded.

According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, the Mariners are close to signing Chone Figgins to a four-year, $35 million contract.
That's $1 million less than the amount originally reported by FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal. It's a pretty nice bargain for the Mariners, who just landed one of the most highly coveted position players on the free agent market. Figgins, 31, will bring excellent defense to Seattle along with a knack for getting on base. He hit .298/.395/.393 this past season with five homers, 54 RBI, 42 stolen bases and 114 runs scored in 615 at-bats.
