    Re: Realistic stats in ASB

Just making sure: did you turn off the pitching cursor? Also, I don't aim my pitches until I've started the windup.

I don't understand some people's problem, because my best ERA is somewhere around 2.90 and my average is probably 3-4.

I agree. I can't seem to stop the AI from whacking me. I've tried changing speeds, pitching to different locations. Nothing matters. And I can't seem to hit anything but fly balls using Classic. Really frustrating.

If you can't use the cursor hitting, then use zone hitting. I find easy hitting to be much too easy. How long have you tried cursor hitting for? When I started the game, I couldn't hit with the cursor to save my life, but I kept working at it and now I do fine.

About the ERAs, you might just want to try moving up to all-star, atleast just for pitching. Also try lowering you pitcher's accuracy.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the tips!

Graphik, I would definitely be interested in hearing some helpful tips from you on normal hitting mode.

My pitching cursor isn't off, I didn't know you could turn it off, LOL. I'll definitely turn it off.

I do find easy hitting to be a bit too easy. I've hit 2 walk-off HR's already in my season so far, and I've only played 7 games. Sure, I know the A's are magical..but still...

My starting 3 are all rated A or better (Zito, Hudson, Mulder). I'll lower their ratings to C or C+.

To turn your pitching cursor off, set the "Pitching Indicator" to off in the Player Settings.

I'd leave your attributes where they are at the moment unless you keep having problems after turning the cursor off. It really does make a difference because you don't exactly know where the pitches are going.

Also, I move the (invisible) cursor once and then pitch. I don't wiggle the stick around to try to find the perfect location. Kind of a one-shot deal that way.
