    Maybe that's why he gave up 12 hits and 7 runs...he's just not as good from the left side!

      Joey Gaithright got released by the Jays. Honestly I think his MLB career is all but over. He may get a shot somewhere else but he's shown this spring that all he has is "slider bat speed" meaning he can hit sliders and other slower pitches but he can't get his bat around to the fastball. It was said on the broadcast yesterday that all the pitchers this spring have been pumping fastballs at him and he hasn't been hitting that well.

      He did make some nice plays in the outfield so maybe one of the bigger market teams might snatch him up as a defensive replacement.
