Re: Baseballs Next Phenom: Justin Upton or Jason Heyward?
It's just the effect of being called up and being expected to do it all. But the real newsflash is that he's batting seventh for a reason, and I think that Pendleton needs to talk to him about that. I understand he has a great eye, so he has to start using that and stop worrying about pleasing the fans with the long ball. I believe Sandoval needs to be the same kind of hitter, but I don't believe he will ever change. Heyward, on the other hand, will change. Until then, he looks like a quick bat with a large hole.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

He'll be sent back down sooner than later.
No doubt he has huge power but he doesn't look to be ready for big league pitching on an everyday basis.Comment

Only reason I think he won't be sent down anytime soon is because of the fans that are coming out to the ballpark to see the "next big thing." He has already proven that he draws a crowd. But to keep that up, he has to hit a few more monster home runs.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Wow, I usually don't do this, but I'll use the internet acronym.
LOL at people saying he isn't ready after one series. He's a rookie. He's not going to bat .360 out of the gate. He's going to have his four strikeout games where he looks overmatched. Then he'll have his 3-3 days where he used the entire field like Saturday afternoon.
Heyward is ready. And, yes, I do believe myself to be the best judge of that. You can disagree, but I'll just say you're wrong."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
