Whatta ya know if Glaus would actually earn his pay today.

Also, shame on Cox for getting Wagner up in the bullpen; he's too old and can't be used that often.

Greinke wasn't his best and the bullpen was infuriatingly bad as usual, but it sure was a beautiful day to take in a ballgame:

It's infuriating that we could conceivably be 4-1, but have blown all but one of the close games we've had. Surely it has to turn around.

I can't wait to be there in two weeks from today. Get to see a Sunday afternoon game and a Monday night game at Kauffman. Hopefully the weather will be nice.

That's a stadium I'd love to go too. Spence, do you like it better now that they've added seats in the outfield or did you like it better before the renovations/additions?

I'll hope for good weather too. I'll probably go to one of those Twins games during that weekend, not sure which one though.

Of course I love the new scoreboard, but visually, I liked the simplicity of the outfield in the old setup:

                      It's a lot busier now:

But from a stuff to do / overall atmosphere standpoint, the new renovations blow the old stadium away. I love being able to walk around the entire field, the new bars and places to eat in the outfield, etc. It's just more "fun", which is nice because you usually need a distraction from the team on the field.

I'm glad that they left the fountain display alone, still an amazing sight to see especially at night:

There are so many great ballparks in the league now, but I think Kauffman still stands up to any of them. Of course, I might be biased.

You're not, but the real eyesore is outside of the stadium. Maybe in ten years if KC can grow as a better franchise, there will be some things built around it and give is a better view from the upper deck.

I love that stadium!!! One of my faves for sure. Going to catch a couple of games there this summer for sure. I have family there, big Royals fans who attend a lot of games, so they are sort of an adopted team of mine, and I follow them when I can on MLB TV.

Seems like every game I have seen of theirs, the bullpen has melted down this year. I still can't get the opening game out of my head. Greinke leaves with a 3 run lead, and the bullpen immediately gives up 6. I think they gave up 4 before they even had an out.

Still, they will be a team I root for all summer long. Hopefully they can start becoming more competitive.

Had some perfect seats right behind the d-backs on deck circle yesterday (so sweet!) too bad they lost, I must say though Reynolds home run just jumped off the bat, very exciting game.

Adam Dunn just flattened Rob Barajas on a Josh Willingham triple that was reviewed and overturned to a Grand Slam. Ouch.

Funny thing was, the play was reviewed and counted as a home run... so Dunn should have never had to be running home to begin with!

Ahhh Justin Verlander, adding to the list of players who sign huge contracts and then proceed to have a terrible year directly afterwards...
