Here's what I've heard. The Expos are likely to play another split season between Montreal and Puerto Rico next year because MLB can't seem to find buyers for the team/a suitable ballpark.

It's looking more and more like Washington/Northern Virginia is not going to happen so it could very well be in Portland. I did hear tho that if the Expos remain as popular in PR as they've been this season that MLB might try to find a buyer to keep the team there. Tho that is a longshot at best.

As of right now. There will be no split. Montreal Expos will play all there home games in Montreal or Puerto Rico. They have told MLB/Selig when this season is over they have to make a choice they either play all there games in Montreal or Puerto Rico. They will not fly back and forth to play home games like this year.

They will not be going to Portland, Washington or anywhere else. MLB can't move them anywhere or find buyers for the 'Spos because the old part owners still have some stock in the team and are in a lawsuit battle with the previous owners that's why Selig can't find buyers because no one wants to deal with the legal battle for the team.

So, basically the only thing Selig can do is make a schedule where the 'Spos don't play in Montreal.

If that were to happen the Players Union would file a grievance because no team should be forced to play on the road for an entire year.

PR has sent a request to have the Expos to play all of there home games in PR.

San Antonio so the Astros can have a natural rival just down I-10 like the Spurs/Rockets in the NBA.
