Huge series in the ATL this week with the Phils...I know it's early, but these divisional games really matter.

Three games against the Giants here at home and the Padres don't have to deal with Lincecum.

I expect Scott Hairston will be playing tomorrow against Matt Cain. Jonathan Sanchez is the pitcher I'm most worried about since lefties tend to give the Padres trouble (and he has pitched his best games in the major leagues against the Padres). Wellemeyer is the starter for the Giants in the third game and it'll be interesting to see if the Padres can pounce on him or make him look like Cy Young.

We have Richard, Latos, and Garland going for us in the series in that order.

        This just in:

The Red Sox suck. Losing 7-0 at home vs TB. A loss here would move their home record to 1-6. Ugly.

With Jimenez no-hitting us, I hate to think what the Doc might do.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The Rays just completed a 4 game road sweep against the Red Sox and have won 7 straight overall and now sit at 10-3 which is the best record in the majors. Go Rays!

Yea they do...and the Phils are playing their strength and are getting on base then smacking 3 run bombs, and striking out if that doesn't happen.

What is a little scary is the pitching behind Halladay, Hamels and Madsen

Hopefully the Jays offense comes back to life this week. I'm sick of seeing Romero and others pitching their asses off only to get the L because of no run support.

And plus I hate the Phils nearly as much as the Mutts.

We're being shut out by a guy named Fister. This season is a disaster.

Bell blows the lead, but let's see how good the Padres pen will be in this extra-inning game. Too many baserunners stranded today.

We should start calling the left field foul line Eckstein's Pole...the dude has hit like 3 game winners right there in the last two years.

It won't last, but Fister's been the ish so far. That's 3 starts and a total of 3 runs allowed.

Great win by the Jays as they really needed that kind of game to relieve any tension in the locker room. Jose Bautista was hitting up a storm last night the way he did in spring training and it was great to see Lyle Overbay seemingly coming around. I hope that he can string together a few more good games at the plate.

Brandon Morrow made some mechanical adjustments in his motion last night that did a world of difference as he was just outstanding! It's funny how a small change in mechanics can turn things around for a pitcher.

The crowd was incredibly sparse yet again last night for a new Rogers Centre low of 10,314. I'm thinking Wednesday we may only see 8-9K in the building as it's a mid-day game.

One last note: I'm making a prediction here and now but before the season is out one of the Jays starters will throw a No Hitter.
