Ain't that the truth. Dodgers need help in the pen in the worst way. They lose here in Cincy 11-9. Glad I did not go to the game tonight. This years team plays just like The Show Dodger franchise I'm playing. Lol!!!

        Frank Francisco sucks so hard.

Texas let something called Darnell McDonald beat them tonight.

Well, well. Just as I expected so far from Jonathan Sanchez. He'd probably have another no-hitter but he's thrown a lot of pitches so far.

He had to make up for yet another GIDP with the bases loaded earlier in the game.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

BTW, Greg Amsinger and Harold Reynolds were pure gold with Mitch Williams tonight on MLB Tonight. He was so fired up after that Phillies loss and they kept goading him...it was hilarious.

At least not yet. Ethan Martin and Aaron Miller still have a while to go.

To be fair, divorces always **** over a team. In 2008 the Padres payroll was up in the $80s, but because of poor personnel decisions, they ended up with one of the worst records (Seriously, Jim Edmonds in center?). In 2009 they practically slashed payroll more than half to between $35-$40 and ended up having to get rid of Peavy because his contract would eat up a good percentage of the payroll. Now that Moores and his divorce is halfway out of the picture, the payroll is slowly going up.

It'll take a season or two before the Dodgers can recover from the divorce. It would be best if someone else stepped in as owner, but I think it's a mess up there.

Dude...you almost called the Sanchez no-hitter. The Padres won with 1 hit...unbelievable.

Apologies to Troy Glaus, even though he still sucks.

                      I'm in love with Jason Heyward. There, I said it......with RISP, he's 9 for 12, 2 HR, 13 RBI, 4 BB, 2 2B .813 OBP, 1.417 SLG.

                      UnREAL.

I had a feeling about it as soon as I saw Sanchez's name pop up in the probables on Sunday. His career line against the Padres before today (and they're probably even better now):

                        13 G 6 GS 45.2 IP 1.12 WHIP 2.76 ERA 49 K .178 BAA.

Sick. Giants have had some great pitching so far in this series, but the Padres starters have been able to pitch just well enough to keep them in the game.

"Luck"? When healthy the guys is a lock for 30 HRs. Patience is a virtue.

He's not particularly prone to GIDPs, he's still figuring things out I'm sure.

The guy has had 1,125 PAs over the last 3 years (07-09), his last "full" yr being in 2008 w/ STL where he had 637 PAs, hit .270, and knocked in 27/99. If the Braves get that for a relatively cheap sign then look out...

By comparison Mark Reynolds had 1,689 PAs from 07-09, the difference of 564 PAs, and not being able to find a rhythm due to questionable health has hurt Glaus' once bright career.

I'm thinking a bounce back is in order though, and a Big RH'ed bat @ Turner Field will pay dividends...obviously...

Sad...while I relish in the demise of the Dodgers, I still would like to see them at full strength to not have any excuses perpetrated when the Phillies once again end another Dodger season.

Ryan Howard was a beast when he burst onto the scene too, and then he got figured out...does Heyward have any holes in his game/swing that have been documented?

Or is he just a beast of a player that I better get use to laying the smackdown on us?

Brad Lidge circa 2008 please come home.

Jose Guillen continues to swing a hot bat, just hit a 3-run homer to get the Royals off to an early 3-0 lead against the Jays.
