But you aren't supposed to talk about no hitters if you're superstitious. It's apparently bad luck to mention no-hitters, like the one Phillip Hughes has going into the 7th.

Like, if i were to say "hey Hughes still has a no-no with 2 outs in the 7th" it might cause it to not happen. We wouldn't want that, would we?

    EDIT: through 7.

It's not like Amaro gave Toronto a bunch of crap to get the best pitcher in the game.

That being said, I watched some of the game and I sighed. I'm happy that Halladay is getting a legit shot to go to the playoffs and win a World Series but it still hurts a little every time I see him on TV.
When I said "Amaro is a genius" it was more/less in reference to making the deal for Halladay w/ hindsight being 20/20...since Cliff Lee is on the D/L, and we would otherwise be sporting Cole Hamels as our interim "ace" till Lee would come off the D/L...which isn't going to be till 30 April I believe. Phillies have 9 wins thus far, Roy is responsible for (4), and we wouldn't be here had we held onto Cliff Lee.

Ouch, tough way to lose the no-no (pun intended I guess). I saw he had a no hitter through 7 when I checked espn.com and turned on MLB Network assuming they would be live for that game and got there just in time to see it broken up after the ball hit him in the hand and he couldn't find it.

I would like to think I had a part in that.

But I had been saying it since the fourth inning...Oh well, a good jinx doesn't expire!

Let's try this one: No way the A's get a couple of Rivera.
