Barry Zito just made Matt Holliday look like a blubbering fool. None of the Cardinals hitters have been on him at all tonight.

Someone needs to win this Royals-Twins game already so I can devote my undivided attention to the Lakers-Thunder game.

        WOW

That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

          What happened?

EDIT: Nevermind. My DVR decided to start working again. That was bad.

That was horrendous...I would be all over that ump. He had made up his mind he didn't want to stand in the rain anymore and was going to call him out regardless of what happened. The Royals probably wouldn't have won, but that's not the point....they should have had the winning run coming to the plate with a chance to tie/win.

Bloomquist hit a slow chopper to Hardy at short with Pods on first...Hardy juggled and dropped it and then went to second for the force. Even in fast motion it looked like Pods was in there easily and the replay confirmed that he was there a good 2-count before the ball arrived.

Is it safe to say that Zito is back to his old ways? This is an impressive start! The thing I like about it is that he's making people swing and miss again...striking folks out and walking fewer.

Zito looks real good. His curve was deadly, but that damn change up was unhittable just ask A.P. He made him look pretty bad. Man, if we could get 2 more bats and one power bat this team could make some serious noise. Also Wilson has been dominating too.

Atlanta's offense ****ing sucks. This is not fair for the pitching staff.

I'd say so, After the All Star Break last year he seemed to be putting things back together again but people probably didn't notice too much. I think it's safe to say that Zito has bought himself a good 3-4 year stretch of good pitching in the big leagues if he can keep it up.

Man the Jays' bullpen sharted the bed last night. I guess you could've seen it coming as they looked a bit shaky the night before. It looks like Romero's gonna be the hard luck kid as he deserves to be 4-0 this year with the way he's been pitching.

Let's hope the Jays can take the series today.

Vasquez pitching for the Yanks today, heres hoping he can continue going in the right direction.

@ him barely touching 90 on the gun though.

Whew, Royals escape with a 4-3 win to avoid the sweep. I wouldn't have guessed Soria would be available after pitching two innings last night.

Man the Tigers starting pitching has been awful. This was supposed to be a strength of this team and their SP ERA is now close to 6. They have to be a lot better if this team wants to have any chance of staying in contention.

On a positive note the Granderson trade looks like it might work out well. Jackson has been very impressive so far and Coke has pitched great out of the bullpen. Jackson will only get better as he starts developing more power.

                                Kendry Morales 3 run bomb.

Angels up 8-4 in the 7th.
