Halladay stopped ATL right in their tracks. A 9 inning 5 hit shutout GEM. Love this guy, and last time I checked Cliff Lee...still on the D/L..***ben Amaro is a genius.

Oh and for those who've said Howard can't play defense...Ryan made a glove side diving stab of a ball headed into the hole and threw to Roy to get LARRRRRRRRRY Jones out for the 1st out of the 9th. Then made another stop on a McCann grounder, taking it himself for out #2.

The 9th was almost eerily similar to last night as LARRRRRRRRRRRY had a 2-0 count, then a 3-1 count, but Halladay got him to put it on the ground.

Texas sucks miserably. Hopefully things turn around but this is a brutal losing streak. If things get bad they will not hesitate to fire Washington, and I'd really like to keep him around.

In my fantasy league, I said I would take Kemp with any pick after #2. I got him at #7.

More like Ruben Amaro is lucky. Halladay wanted to go to Philly right from the start. The Jays were prepared to give Halladay the world to get him to stay here but Halladay wanted out so they granted his wish. It's not like Amaro gave Toronto a bunch of crap to get the best pitcher in the game.

That being said, I watched some of the game and I sighed. I'm happy that Halladay is getting a legit shot to go to the playoffs and win a World Series but it still hurts a little every time I see him on TV.
