We've lost 7 straight so be happy.

It's amazing that Derek Lowe gets usually 4-5+ runs but Hanson & Jurrjens are lucky to even get 2 runs of support. ...of course now, I'm just happy for a single run with how our offense (ahem, Glaus!) is playing.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Jurrjens (1.57 runs per 9 inn) and Kenshin Kawakami (2.12) have the worst and 3rd-worst run support in NL; Lowe (9.27) has the 3rd-highest. about 23 hours ago via TweetDeck Retweeted by you and 3 others

Absolutely no reason for him to have been taken out. He walks one guy and I'll call that his "mess"... so in my opinion, it was his to clean up. I had absolutely no doubt that he would have done it too. I posted that well before this BS (blown save, that is).

I don't blame Wilson, though he is paid to challenge every hitter including one that is being paid an insane amount for the next 8 years. No, I blame Bochy. Let Timmy finish that game why don't'cha.

I think Hoffman may finally be done. That's 6 home runs this year given up already. He only gave up 2 all of last year.

Time to put Carlos Villanueva in the closer role. He flamed out there once, but he looks different this year. Year to date stats: 11 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 14 K

April is his worst month career-wise. If he continues to struggle in May, then yes he's done.

It's too bad, if he was playing for New York or some other big media place he'd have already been tarred-and-feathered.

What I hate worse is this new generation of managing style where they all believe in saves, like it's actually a stat that matters. What matters is winning the ball game, and doing what you think will get you there the best way possible.

Small instance that Brewers fans are clamoring about right now, there is absolutely no reason that Hoffman should be closing games for them in the ninth inning. That save number means nothing, honestly. Take him out of there before he destroys their season anymore.

I believe in 2005 he had a similar, brutal start.

However, with that said, I stopped trusting Hoffman with a one-run lead since 2007. While I hated to see him end his Padre career the way it did, I'm glad that the Padres have a closer with a blazing fastball and the same mental toughness.

I think Hoffy will be fine. That ERA probably won't be below 3.5 when the season is over, but I think he'll be gold for the Brewers once the month of May starts (Then again, I have been wrong numerous times before).

EDIT: Nevermind, this is the worst April he's ever had by a mile. Just checked the stats. I don't know what to make of it anymore.
