Garcia NEEDS To Go...

I have tried to support Garcia most of the season, hoping he'd turn it around, but after tonight, I've seen enough.

7ER, 1.2IP. That's uncalled for, and Mariner fans have been seeing too much of it.

They need to either send him down to the minors, put him in the bullpen, or place him on Waivers and hope some dumb team actually picks him up. And add either Mateo or Soriano or Johnson, ANYBODY! Hell, my HS's Ace probably could have more success than Garcia right now.

Argh, either way, Garcia needs to be out of the rotation. It's almost like a guaranteed L every five games.

If I were the Mariner manager I would have gone out there and screamed at him demanding to know why he continues to rip his team off with his 7 million dollar contract.

Garcia may go through the waiver wire to a team like St. Louis that needs any starter. He is really bad now though...what happened to him?

Me too! I wonder what pitching coach Bryan Price said in one of his many trips to the mound. Maybe something along the lines of "dude, you really stink" I was hoping that that one three team trade that would have sent him to Boston and Aaron Boone to us was going to happen, but it didn't. Maybe the Garcia for JD Drew trade is still a posibility?

He gets way too many pitches up in the zone, that's what the problem is. He also falls in love with and relies on his fastball a little too much at times.

I still think the guy is a good pitcher. He looked like a star in 2001 and the first half of last year, too. There is plenty of time for him to figure out how to pitch instead of just throw, but man, he has definitely been getting lit up lately.
