Exactly. June is usually what separates the men from the boys and we have been cub scouts the last few years. We need to build a cushion between us and .500."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Best start to a year since when for a starting pitcher?
10-1, .78 ERA, heck the 1 loss he had he gave up 1 run in 7 innings if I recall correctly.7 National Championships
43 Conference Championships
152 All-Americans
5 Heisman Trophy Winners
#1 in weeks ranked #1 in AP Poll
#1 in weeks ranked top 5 in AP Poll
#1 in wins/winning percentage since 1946

Jimenez by the numbers.
11 Starts this season. All have resulted in a decision.
2: The highest number of runs he has allowed in any start. It's also occurred only twice.
6: Outings where he has not given up a run.
1: HR allowed this season.
10: Most baserunners allowed this season in one start, which was against San Diego on April 11. He only allowed two runs and earned the victory.
35: Days in which his ERA has been below 1.00 this season.Comment

Not sure his pitching motion started though. Maybe it was another balk action that got him.Comment

After seeing the replay, I would say it could go either way. But it does bring up a more unsettling point for the Rays offense... what's with being no hit through 5 or 6 innings so often? Besides this and the perfect game, I believe it has happened 2 or 3 more times so far... the offense is anemic right now! (No offense to anemics).Comment
