What is the worst record a Cy Young winner has compiled in the following season? Zack Greinke might have a shot of breaking it.

What a joke the Royals are. No reason Greinke should be 0-7 right now. He's pitched well enough to be 7-0.

Hey give him some credit, he does have that one win.

I don't know about 7-0 either, he hasn't been razor sharp this season. I'd say he should have at least 5 wins though.

Yeah I mentioned it earlier in another of these threads. The Jays are embarking on the toughest part of their schedule and in many ways one of the toughest stretches in team history IMO.

If they can make it through all that at .500 i'll consider it a miracle.

Way to choke a game away Washington... that's what happens when you put Christian Guzman in RF.

Eh, its June, still over 100 games to go. It would be huge for LA if it were against SD, SF or COL.

we're the two hottest teams, both have identical records since April 30 (i think I read that), Braves/Dodgers is always big, four game weekend set....

it's big man...very compelling to watch if anything

I really wanted to make it out to at least one of these games to catch Heyward play. Stupid NBA Finals.

I agree that we are the two hottest teams in the NL, and that it should be very interesting. I just feel that division games are more important at this time than a NL East/NL West matchup.

If it were August/September, then this would be a bigger series imo.

I hope people go to this game tonight with the Finals going on.

I'm going tomorow, in the midst of studying for my own personal finals.

                          Mariano throwing 95MPH

was listening to ESPN noting how MO was on the mound for the 9th this afternoon against the Orioles... looking like his recent unstable self putting on the first two batters on base, then Dave Eiland comes in to talk to Mo, then he hits 93, 94, 95 twice... breaks a bat, gets a strikeout...

i watched the encore and wow... at the beginning of the inning he was the usual 90-91 he's been this yr, and pretty much of the past 3 yrs...

94-95 for strikes, looked like controlled max effort... was pretty awesome to see. as it hasn't been that speed in quite a few yrs.
