Good LORD. An 89MPH changeup with that much movement? GTFO.

Good, the error by Richard doesn't lead to a run.

The hype for some of these guys is too much. Same went for Heyward when he made his debut. People were saying that seeing his first HR live was something they'd tell their kids and grandkids. Let's pull the reigns in a bit before talking like some of these players are the next coming.
Thanks, that's exactly what I was trying to say.

He's playing well in AAA and I'm not sure there's much left for him to prove. My guess is by the end of June.

Heh, no problem with that one. I guess if you went back in time and plugged in a Willie Mays or Sandy Koufax from the draft in this day and age, if they were making their major league debut they'd probably receive the same ridiculous hype because of the communication, media, and technology these days.

Just a couple of decades ago, the draft came and went and players would only find out that they were selected days later. Nowadays, you have cameras all over the place keeping track of these players.

It is crazy for some people but I guess I really don't mind it. Each to their own.

I think we are seeing is the future of baseball. First Longoria then Heyward and now Strasburgh, young guys making an impact in the game. Next year it will probably Harper or Stanton but Its a matter of a couple of years for the MLB draft to become as relevant as the NFL or NBA draft ( Don't know much about NHL).

I agree with that. I think Strasburg throws more of a traditional curve where Wood threw a bit of a slurve.

I think that was a ball to start the at-bat to Jason Jaramillo ump.

Edit: What a weird punch out call. Haha.

According to Keith Law of ESPN, he doesn't think Harper will be up for 3 years. I think that might be on the long side, but I see no way Harper's up next season.

Great. Now the next 4-5 days we're going to hear about how Strasburg looks to be a Hall of Famer for his performance against.....Pittsburgh.

K's for 6 straight outs (with a hit mixed in there).

                            Isn't he only 17?

Nice recovery by Zimmerman to finish the inning.
