I think McCutchen is the only Pirate who doesn't look over matched. Of course, he's possibly the only legit player in that entire lineup.

The Nationals front office has to be thrilled Strasburg gave up a hit early so they don't have to worry about a situation where he's through 6 without giving up a hit but at 90 pitches already. Any team that has Lastings Milledge hitting in the three-spot is pretty terrible, but still a nice way to for the kid to get his feet wet in the Bigs.

Can't wait for the Strasburg/Heyward matchup.

Too bad Strasburg doesn't run as fast as his fastball. That's slower than Adrian Gonzalez!

He was jogging...Nats announcers were saying something about an injury while he was in the minors and that he's going easy on it on purpose.

Costas: "Strasburg is a good hitter, he just doesn't hit much. He holds runners well, when they actually reach base. After games, he entertains his teammates in the clubhouse turning water to wine."

It's usually McCutchen who could make a legit #3 hitter. However, John Russell who is the manager, has no clue how to put together a lineup. Then again, when there's only 1-2 legit players, I guess it could be tough.

Darn, I was really hoping to see him bumped down to -10 in speed on MLB the Show.

                          Third inning fastball speeds:

                          97, 97, 98, 99, 98

He threw just as many breaking balls (5) in the third as he did fastballs.

Strasburg's only thrown 40 pitches thru 3. He could into the 7th at this rate if they are indeed limiting him to 90 pitches tonight.

Leadoff base hit to begin the fourth.

Edit: Okay Pudge, this isn't kickball.

Yeah, Costas needs to shut up.

"If he stays healthy, we're not just talking Hall of Fame pitcher, we're talking historical great."
