Stanton 1-2 K and Infield Single. He looked a lot faster then I thought he was and looks alright in RF holding Utley to a single by playing the ball well on a hit off the top of the wall.

81 pitches through 6 innings, I believe. Struck out the side in the 6th on 11 pitches.

Storen is up in the Nats pen now.

They should let Strasburg pitch the 7th inning and only pull him if he allows a baserunner IMO.

Not when you've followed this team.

Truth be told, I check out the previous night's game every morning online, but I gave up watching a long time ago (unless it's something like tonight where Strasburg pitches....any NL team debuting their high profile pitcher should send him up against the Pirates). It's unfortunate, but the Pirates and their ownership have taken the fun out of baseball for me over the years. Hopefully things turn around one of these years.

Truth be told, I check out the previous night's game every morning online, but I gave up watching a long time ago (unless it's something like tonight where Strasburg pitches....any NL team debuting their high profile pitcher should send him up against the Pirates). It's unfortunate, but the Pirates and their ownership have taken the fun out of baseball for me over the years. Hopefully things turn around one of these years.

It's amazing, JB. This guy has made this the first important/hyped Pirates game in nearly 18 years. Hate to bring it up but it's truly amazing.
