It's always nice to see the Yankees get pounded by a last place team.

On paper I swear.......Well it's great that they don't play games on paper. Nothing better than losing sleep for my team though!

Why is Gardner not the leadoff man yet? I mean, hasn't that kid proved himself enough yet? Seriously, he should bat leadoff and Jeter should be back in the 2 hole just like the old days. I hate Jeter batting leadoff, it makes no sense to me. But then again, it's the Yankees so I don't really care.

The problem is, Jeter was moved from #2 in the lineup to leadoff for a reason in 2009, and it paid immediate dividends. Jeter hit into an astonishing 45 double-plays in 2007 and 2008, and was destroying RBI opportunities for the hitters behind him. After signing Mark Teixeira, it was decided that Tex and A-Rod needed as many chances to drive in runs as possible. He had a near MVP season in 2009. BA: .334 OBP: .406 SLG: .465 I personally would keep him there.

Rangers look to go 14 over .500, and make it 9 in a row against Pittsburgh. Hopefully the Dodgers can beat the Angels so the Rangers can stretch the lead, because they have a tough 2nd half schedule.

Does AJ Burnett need his own catcher? Wasn't he pitching better when Cervelli was behind the plate? It seems like the yanks are insistent on Posada catching for Burnett...

They would love to have Posada and Burnett to get on the same page with each other because of what Jorge can do at the plate.

Such a horrible strikezone for the Rockies and Red Sox tonight. Closing games scares me so much when its 1 or 2 runs.

MLB Network decided to broadcast the MIN/MIL & COL/BOS games instead of any time of the Braves game so thanks for that. If it's supposed to be regional coverage, then make it regional coverage.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

What the hall has happened to Tommy Hanson this year? I had him penciled in as a Cy Young contender coming into the season.
