Re: June 21st - June 27th MLB Discussion (Week 12)
I think it may be a combination of people figuring him out, losing confidence and bad luck. He's still throwing the ball well and for the most part locating his pitches pretty good as well. He's not getting some of the strike calls like he did earlier in the year but he's also getting nickeled and dimed by well placed balls. (his last start)
As for the confidence issues it was mentioned on the broadcast that he was showing some lack of confidence in his start in SD. I didn't see the game as I was on vacation at the time but apparently he had a stern talking to on the mound by pitching coach Bruce Walton. I'm thinking this is a blip on the radar and that he'll eventually get back on the horse. He's got enough good stuff where he can have at the very least some quality starts and give the team a solid 6 innings each outing.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

No problem i'll let you know how he looks in his next start.
Nice to see the lineup shuffle work for the Jays tonight and Brandon Morrow had a great game. It's amazing the progress he's making as a full time starter whereas I haven't heard anything positive or negative about Brandon League. Any Seattle fans want to fill me in on how he's doing there?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

2 things I didn't expect at all:
1) Derek Lowe throwing 7 IP and not give up any runs against an AL lineup of all things.
2) Get swept by the White Sox.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Yeah, me either. Fortunately I was pretty busy this week so I didn't get a chance to catch any of the games."The best thing about being a football player at Alabama...winning...winning." -Mark Barron

Well I really hate Dustin Pedroia.
Frick, almost swept the Red Sox, nearly hitting a walk off homerun that was caught at the wall.7 National Championships

Yea...we capitalized on that too. Braves lose 3 in a row, Philly wins 3 in a row.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
