Re: June 21st - June 27th MLB Discussion (Week 12)
White Sox going for 12 straight and a sweep of the Cubs today.
Last night's game was great, the Cell went crackers when Konerko hit that bomb of off Cashner in the 8th. It was great to be back at the ballpark for the first time since Opening Day. Good times.Comment

It's crazy to think that the Sox were out 9.5 games on the 8th.
Let's keep rolling.Comment

Keep on waiting for Brennan Boesch to slow down, but he just keeps raking at a ridiculous rate. 3 more RBI's and HR today. That is 21 RBI's in his last 24 games. Dude is incredible.
Heck, I could make the argument that he should be an All-Star with the numbers he has.My Teams

Re: June 21st - June 27th MLB Discussion (Week 12)
While I don't really agree with the rule that every team has to have an All-Star, that is the way it is, so Choo is the only viable Indians candidate. I don't like the rule because the most "deserving" candidate to me is the person with the better numbers, not the candidate who has to be selected because of that rule. Without that rule Boesch is the more deserving candidate than Choo.
The other reason I hate that rule is because the All Star game is not just an exhibition that doesn't mean anything like before, with home field advantage being at stake for the World series. I think each respective team should have the players who are playing the best in each league to give them the best chance to win, regardless of if it results in teams not having All Stars. That is also the reason I can't stand when a guy with bad numbers gets voted into the game.
I posted this in another thread, but Boesch does have better numbers than Choo, Alex Rios and some of the other candidates I have heard mentioned.Last edited by mgoblue678; 06-27-2010, 03:33 PM.My Teams
