Better average by only about three points.

RBI's not that far off? Cabrera has 16 more, I would say that is a pretty significant.

Not to mention the Twins lineup top to bottom is better around Morneau than the Tigers around Cabrera.

The numbers that mean something (VORP, wOBA, OBP, OPS, RC, etc.) say otherwise, but I digress.

Hell, even if I conceded that point to you, Cabrera's horrific glove still tilts the scales towards Morneau's direction.

Morneau dominates Cabrera in WAR mostly due to his glove.

Prado leads the in mult-hits games(14) and is likly to end up with 200 hits play way better defense than utley.
Utley's out until September, so there's no longer any argument.

Don't ignore Brandon Phillips from the mix though.

piece of advise: lose some of the stats.
Lose the stats that completely contradict you?

        No.

Your basing that on what exactly? UZR which is unrelaible for 1B. Watch Cabrera play defensively and then get back to me instead of only relying on an unreliable stat alone.

Saying it's unreliable is pushing it. Is it less accurate at 1B than other positions? No doubt, but if you take the career UZR averages (the larger sample size) for Cabrera and Morneau, you'll still find that Morneau dominates Cabrera.

I seriously doubt that UZR is that unreliable if again and again, Morneau continues to top Cabrera. Don't discredit a statistic just because it contradicts your trained eye.

I saw Doug Mientkwicz play first base, he's the greatest defensively in the history of the game.

Don't agree with me? Tough, I "saw" him play.

I watch the AL Central on a daily basis. Morneau's defense > Cabrera's Defense.

It's a lost cause, not much star power in hole team.

Cosidering the other firstbasements in the league he doesn't stand a chance, no defense can replace 20 hr and 50-60 rbis.
