Kinda like how La Russa didn't pinch hit Pujols for Dmitri Young in the ninth of the 2007 All-Star Game.

Glad to see the NL win. I wish Manuel would've put Waino in to shut the door in the ninth but oh well.

How about Omar Infante. Oh wait! He didn't even play. Same with 6 other pitchers for the NL. Charlie's lucky he won. He did an awful job managing the pitching staff. Giradi didn't do too well either.

The All Star Game needs serious work, John Buck shouldn't even be there, So Girardi.... You go with two Red Sox, but you dont use your own Big Time player in that situation? Kinsler over A God ... brilliant

How the hell as a manager are you supposed to work in 13/14 pitchers in 9 innings? I wouldn't want the task.

My "The Brilliant Things Fox Announcers Say In-Game" award goes to McCarver for commenting after Kuo sails the ball over the 1st baseman's head, talking about how pitchers do this all the time.... then making reference to someone doing it in 2001 and then again in 2007 in playoff games. Ya. Can't wait for the WS on Fox. (Give it to the MLB Network --- they'd do a bang up job.)

It could have helped that Manuel didn't leave Josh Johnson or Ubaldo Jimenez in for two innings each. I mean they're deserving and all but when there's 12 other pitchers, I think they should have went one. Manuel talked about bringing Arthur Rhodes so he can play with match-ups. But instead of bringing in Rhodes to face Ortiz(.192 against lefties.) in like the 6th he brings in Capps. Luckily it payed off.

I wouldn't have minded Infante being there if he would've contributed or even played. But with him on the roster he took the place of someone more deserving like Carlos Gonzalez.
