      Comeback player of the year?
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Todd Hundley set it a few years ago with 41 home runs.

You know what I don't like? How lots of people often times separate the positions and compare their stats. I mean, you always hear Dave Campbell say, "Well, he's a second baseman so he isn't expected to put up the numbers of an outfielder..." If you put Nomar or A-Rod at second for a year, I don't think they will put up .290 AVG 11 HR seasons... I think they will still stay the same. Plus, second basemen aren't supposed to be small, managers just put them there.

Sorry that I got way off subject, but along with catchers... it's just coincidence that they aren't all power sluggers, but that they don't have speed isn't a coincidence... they are crouching half the game, they can't run THAT well.

Anyways, hands down to Javy... he's having an MVP year that's for sure, but then again, people are having more deserving MVP years. I would put Javy third or fourth on the list, but DEFINITELY put him up there for most improved.
