Ryan Howard just got ejected on a bull**** check swing 3rd strike call in the 14th by the 3B umpire who I now hate for life. The brought Oswalt in to play LF and move Ibanez to 1st base. It was absolutely a horrible call by the ump who called a check swing for a strike earlier in the count. I though Howard was going to pummel this guy into the ground.... he was hot!

I hope this ump's car is unknown to the fans....they are ripping him a new one!

UPDATE: Oswalt registers the 1st out!

And Ibanez assists on the 2nd one..lol.

And Ibanez dives to register the 3rd unassisted beating Bourne to the bag on a drag bunt attempt! Solid.

On the first check swing, he clearly went around. The second one was questionable, but Howard didn't do himself any favors by arguing the first one.

I don't think its to unreasonable to say that by getting ejected, Howard most likely cost the Phillies that game. In fact, his spot was up with the tying runs on base in the 16th. But instead of Howard, the batter was Oswalt.

Wow Rockies came back from being down 10-1 to win it 12-10 against ATL and now the Giants are tied with Reds at 10 after being down 10.

It's only been 2 games but Cameron Maybin looks much improved at the plate since being demoted to the minors. I could watch Logan Morrison's swing all day.

One of these days, Jim Leyland will figure out not to bring in Jose Valverde in the 8th inning. Every time he does it, it fails miserably. The guy is a hot dog he needs to pitch the 9th and only the 9th (aside from extra innings).

                          Nice win by the Jays!

Vernon Wells was a double shy of the cycle and Brett Cecil improved to 7-1 against AL East opponents which is quite impressive IMO.

                            Agreed.

IMO, the Marlins are getting close to being a very good team. I know this is asking alot from the Fish, but if they just spent a little more money than usual this off season, they'll be up there with the Braves and Phillies next year.

Good job getting swept 4 games at home by the freaking Astros Phillies...right before heading out west on a 6 game road trip too?!?!?!

Plus freaking JA Happ beats us....that effing stings....and he beat Halladay at that.

I expect to be a couple games out of the wildcard by the time Philly returns home, and ATLs lead pushed to 5 games. Prove me wrong Phillies.

What a effing joke this front office turned out to be too...I'm just sitting here steaming thinking we could've kept Cliff Lee and had that two-headed monster at the top of the staff instead of these deadline contingency plans like bringing in Oswalt and his big fat deal.

don't blame the pitching..... they did their job. What more would have Lee done this year than the staff is already doing? Bats have been inconsistent and anemic during many stretches.
