Atlanta will do their best to keep Philly in the race.

You're right. The albatross around the Phillies neck has been scoring runs (as of late), but that was also mainly due to so many bats being out of the lineup....

I remember the day Utley came back an overlay in the Giants/Phillies game stated to that point, that the Phillies had played only 7 games w/ their Opening Day lineup. More dominant pitching would've offset a lot of those offensive woes early on due to injuries...

Maybe with Lee it would've changed their deadline approach too. I mean they wouldn't have gone after Oswalt, so maybe they could find a cheaper arm, and push Kyle freaking Kendrick out of the rotation.

IMO, the Marlins are getting close to being a very good team. I know this is asking alot from the Fish, but if they just spent a little more money than usual this off season, they'll be up there with the Braves and Phillies next year.

        Anyways...

        GO ASTROS!!!
Yeah they could make a push for the playoffs if they got hot soon but seems pretty unlikely. Future seems bright tho if they can get some bullpen help. If everyone progresses like they should a future lineup of Maybin,Morrison,Hanley,Stanton,Uggla,Gaby seems pretty good to make the playoffs

Took you guys nearly 2 seasons to realize that?

Anyways nice win by the Jays but the bigger story is that there's likely to be a huge bullpen shakeup as Downs, Frasor, Gregg and Camp were all placed on waivers and have been claimed. Should be faaaascinating to see what happens.

Man, if you told me Jon Garland would throw a 3-hitter I'd feel pretty good. The Phils made some great plays today and the ballpark was electric. The Braves need a win tonight!
