Ole Aroldis can't phase me in the Show.

Rookie me has hit about 2 homers off of him.

He has certainly matched, maybe even exceeded, expectations. Typically these flamethrowers we see as K machines, but at this rate? He's electric.

I think he has exceeded expectations. The numbers he has put up so far this year are unreal. It's been a joy to watch him pitch and mow down hitter after hitter.

The next best closer in the MLB, unless the Reds decide to put him into the rotation.
2 months into the season, and based upon current projections, is in line to strike out 153 batters. And doing do in only 80 something innings pitched.
Put that in perspective, Javier Vazquez finished 40th in baseball last year in K's with 162, and he needed 192 innings to do that.

I've always been against putting young stud SP prospects in the bullpen (complete waste of talent, why limit to 1 inning when you can get 6-8?), but he's been unreal in this role. I wouldn't mess with it.

Different mentality completely. Plus, he might be the kind of pitcher who is easier to hit the second or third time through the lineup.

Or he might be the next Randy Johnson. We'll never know, because they're not going to give him the chance.

He can be the next Randy Johnson next year. You put rookie pitchers in the bullpen to gain Major League experience. (I know Chapman isn't a rookie anymore.) Bob Gibson, Adam Wainwright, and Lance Lynn all started in the bullpen. Sometimes they are just better as Major League relievers than starters like Mitchell Boggs, Papelbon, or Jason Isringhausen.

He finally gave up a run last night, and now has an abysmal ERA of .30.

If Aroldis is really a cyborg, he may require a software update or some virus protection. He is not running very effective right now after giving up the lead in the 8th tonight.

It's probably the same bug The Machine had earlier this year.
