Hammel keeps bouncing balls in the dirt today, annoying.

Hey jackass fan in the left field, let Carlos Gonzalez make a play on the homerun ball. Anyone reaching to get a ball that has potential for a play should get put into the last row of the section or kicked out of the game.

And the Rockies complete the sweep, time for the Giants/Padres to knock each other down in their series

It looks like the Padres and Reds are coming back down to earth. Especially after both teams get swept by the Rockies. Rockies are a scary team. And the way Troy is playing right now he is making people forget about Carlos as the best player on that team.

Aaron Cook's leg ended up having a fracture in it from the line drive the other day. Jeff Francis needs to get back ASAP

Way to show up Garland. Do you also have an after-party with the Giants planned to go with you're welcoming party?

What's the deal with the crowds at Padres games? This is a huge series, you're in first place and you can't sell out, let alone make more noise than the visiting fans? Granted it's a blowout, but come on that's pathetic. Makes Arizona fans seem like a dedicated bunch and not the front-runners they are.

Prado needs to get hot again, switch him and JHey in the batting order. Also, GET MCLOUTH OFF THIS TEAM! Seriously, my left pinky toe is more useful currently...

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Please don't compare Phoenix to San Diego. I've been to games in both stadiums this season and the tickets and parking are both cheaper than in San Diego. Additionally, you also have to consider the cost-of-living in both cities. Phoenix has been better off economically than San Diego.

28,000 isn't great and it'd be nice to have a sellout everyday. It's above 65% capacity and although I hate to make excuses, one winning season won't make fans comeback after Moores and the front office basically instills a firesale, slashing payroll to the $30-million range, they trade off Peavy and boot out Hoffman and the fact that there is no certainty that this team is "serious" about winning (aside from committing to this season by acquiring a few players, what happens next season? What happens to Adrian Gonzalez and Heath Bell?)

There's a lot of skepticism with this team despite how successful they've been this year. A lot of people are exhibiting cautious optimism because it may turn out to be the same old thing we saw in 2005, 2006, and 2007, either fail to make the playoffs in the last game or get kicked out of the first round.

That's a shame, because I've been to games in San Diego over the past few years and could understand the lack of an attendance then. But I've come across some passionate and knowledgeable fans, who hate L.A. almost as nearly as I do, so I can never wish anything too drastic on the city.

I suppose from living in the ****hole that is Arizona for the past few years, I've come to expect a non-existent fan-base that suddenly reappears when they have a team in contention.
