Re: Arod vs. Albert vs. Vlad: Who would you rather have??
I'm going with A-Rod. If he was on a winning team, everyone would be considering him the best player besides Barry Bonds in the league. Not to mention he is one of the top fielders in baseball. The only two problems I see going with him are a) his paycheck b) he has had trouble hitting with runners in scoring position this year.Comment

Re: Arod vs. Albert vs. Vlad: Who would you rather have??
As much as I'd like to say Vlad I'd have to go with Pujols. The guy can hit for avg. hit HRs and drive in tons of runs. The guy has nothing but upside to his career. He would also be a good pick to build a franchise around because he's so versatile in that he can play more then one position. I'm sure when he's older and has lost a step or two he'll be a 1B and the team wouldn't lose very much production.
So ya i'd start with Pujols, Vlad second and A-Rod 3rd.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

141 215 54 1 36 123 59 104 15 .358 .613 .414
*Albert Pujols' first full year (2001)
runs hits 2b 3b HR RBI BB K SB AVG SLG OBP

I hope that makes the choice a bit easier.
err... sorry about the scrunched up numbers. For some reason I'm not allowed to use correct spacing. Oh well.. that's why humans can squint.Comment
