Greatest single game ever...I miss those days. I miss Fulton County, I miss Ted Turner owning the team, and I miss Justice, McGriff, Klesko, Lemke, O'Brien, Lopez, Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Avery, Blauser, Bellaird, Grissom, Gant (I know he was in Cincy in 1995), a good Mark Wohlers, and a rookie Chipper. Sigh...lets get it in gear 2010 Braves and make some new memories.

Re: September 13th - 19th Game Discussion
Do people blame infielders when they apply a ghost tag on a runner and sell it to the umpire and get the out call, when it turns out they missed the tag by a few foot or two. It's the same thing and it happens all of the time. Apply a tag, miss the runner, show the umpire the ball...get the out call. The runner throws his hands up and then he gets tossed for arguing.
Or what about at second base when a SS is turning a double play, kicks a little dirt on the bag as he drags his foot several inches behind the bag and gets the out call at second.
How is this any different from an NBA basketball player begging for a foul call on a bad shot when there was no contact, getting the call, and taking two free throws.
In every sport there are things that happen that umpires/referee's/judges miss. Is it the players job to admit to every call. Are lineman supposed to throw a flag on themeselves for clearly holding? should basketball players pass on free throws when there was no foul? It's all part of the game. In every sport, rules are bent and pushed to limits by players every day.Comment

Heyward and the boys did their part tonight, at least in one inning...let's get it done and pray for the Phillies to lose too (hah, like that'll happen). Home field IS within reach.
Would be nice if the NL Westers lose too, but I doubt it. The Rockies are in it to win it, I know that much.Comment

While the Braves haven't played well, it doesn't help that the Phils have the best record in the second half. They just can't lose right now and everything is going their way. With Halladay, Oswalt, and Hammels they are the team to beat in the NL IMO..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do.
