That is what makes me laugh. All the pissing and moaning that this was originally locked in the A-Gon thread, then when they unlock it it, it is barely into 2 pages long for well over 24 hours, and most of the posts in here pertain nothing to do with Dunn.

Seems it was more a "just because" than general interest.

Personally I am glad it is not locked, but at the same time, all this vocal minority clamoring, and then the thread is here, and little to no discussion is taking place.

    My goodness.

I don't think this signing makes the White Sox "good." They've got a lot more to do

The White Sox were an enigma to me last year. Granted, I didn't follow them as closely as other teams, but for 2 month stretch it seemed like they were the best team in baseball and then the bottom fell out. After starting poorly, June 8th found them at 24-33. August 13th found them at 65-51 (a record of 41-18 during that stretch), but from that point on they played .500 ball to finish 88-74. I know Peavy went down, but what happened to this team?

They are too inconsistent. They could have the all star team as their lineup, and I wouldn't pick them to win the division. They always find a way to be horrible when they should be good, and then they find a way to be great when they aren't supposed to be.

I dont know with them. Their pitching wasn't amazing last year. They have a good team on paper, but I dont know. They are really high or really low. Weird team.

I agree BUT it's a start. Dunn doesn't make them contenders but he does make the White Sox better. Seeing Mark Kotsay playing DH was just a nightmare. And if I had to see him play DH next year, I was going to throw-up.

Kenny Williams resolved one weakness in our DH. Now he has to pull a rabbit out of his hat and bring us a 3rd baseman and bullpen help. Two positions we desperately need.

Agreed, Dunn is definitely a better replacement at DH than Kotsay!

Is that the Ozzie Guillen effect of being just as capable of rallying his players or as he is of really pissing them off?

I'm really not looking forward to Adam Dunn facing Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, Kevin Slowey or any of the Twins' other "pitch to contact" pitchers 19 times this season.
