Re: Which Player is Better?
SpoilerIf isolated power was the same, I would go for Player A. But this isn't the case, so I'll go for Player B. This is pretty tough though, because I like a player's ability to move runners over more than one base when getting their base hits. But you can't discredit someone for drawing their walks either.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Which Player is Better?
SpoilerHow do you figure that? Looking at the numbers, it's 99% likely that Player B is a better HR hitter, not Player A. The closer a hitter's batting average is to his slugging percentage, the higher the percentage of his hits are singles.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: Which Player is Better?
SpoilerIn theory, yes. The more a lineup turns over. However, I put more weight on the batting average as that means a hit which means if a runner is in scoring position a run will coincide...so if there was a man on 2nd w/2 out, it doesn't mean 1st and 2nd with 2 out it would mean man on 1st +1 run.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

True. If the rest of your lineup can't hit getting on base doesn't help much.Comment

Re: Which Player is Better?
SpoilerI voted for Player A because a .250 BA and a .300 BA is a huge difference. Of course, the OBP is higher for Player A, butI still have to go with the higher BADa Hoppa?Comment
