          I agree. Who cares, it's expected to have a 20 game losing season with SOMEONE if your team is that bad. Maroth is actually a pretty good young pitcher, he just happens to play for one of the worst teams of all time. I haven't checked the stats for a while, but last I knew, Maroth had very low run support, so they shouldn't blame him, they should blame the hitters if anything.

          I have seen plenty of Maroth's games where he has been damn good, and loses something like 1-0 or 2-0 because he has no run support.

                Isn't that one of the old cliches though? You have to be a pretty good pitcher to lose 20 games.

                Makes sense, because if you're awful, you won't play enough to lose 20.

                            Bonderman prob. won't lose 20 as he was taken out of the starting rotation last week by Trammell. As for Maroth's 20th loss, i agree, not a huge deal, but still newsworthy none the less. No one has done it in 23 years or so, and it has become an issue for the past couple seasons as no manager has allowed a pitcher to start in a game that would be his 20th loss (save for one instance). but yes, not a 'record' per se.
