    PNC Park Named Best Ballpark

Jim Caple of Page 2 did a tour of all the major league ballparks this summer and he named PNC Park the best of them all, with Pac Bell coming in second and Camden Yards coming in at number three. You can check out all the scores and read the article about PNC Park here

And the best line of them all

Ray Kinsella was wrong. Baseball heaven isn't in Iowa. It's in Pittsburgh, along the banks of the Allegheny River.

Granted it's my hometown park, but I tend to agree. I've been to numerous ballparks and PNC is just an incredible field to watch baseball at.

          Congrats!
At what number did the "Great American BallPark" rank at?
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

                Here's the link AI.

Our final ballpark is also our best: Pittsburgh's PNC Park grades out as the best in baseball.

Looks like Great American got 15th.

PNC may be the best to go to, and I agree, but to what degree do they say that on? Is that when you are up right behind home plate in the third level? Is it when it's a great, bright, sunny day (it sure rains a lot there)? Is it only day games? Because I live right next to San Francisco, and go to MANY Giants games, and let me tell you three things: 1) EVERY seat there is glorious... there is not ONE seat in that park where you can be disappointed to not be able to see the whole play, the scoreboard, or the beauty of the park. 2) Nearly every day in San Francisco is sunny, not to mention has a nice breeze, and 0 - 0.7% humidity. 3) I'm not sure which game to see is better, a day or night game. Night games are perfect temperature, with such great environment. Terrific lighting, and that Coke bottle when lit up looks beautiful. Not to mention is it a great place to see Bonds hit the ball in the Cove. So night games are just as great as day games.

Although I've never actually been INSIDE PNC Park, I've seen it plenty of times, been outside of it, flown over it, etc., and not saying it's bad, because it's #2 on my list... but I would put Pac Bell at #1.

PNC is pretty nice, I only see it on TV though when the Padres play there. The park itself looks great. I don't know why people say it copies Pac Bell with the water in RF, but I have never seen a ball land there. Anyways, I wonder what they'll rate Phillies Ballpark and Padres Ballpark next year. Those two should be good.
