Re: Giant Fans, what to root for

If you'd look back to my initial post, you'd see that I am speaking of the Dodger fans I personally know. So it isn't an ignorant statement, the Dodger fans I know straight up tell me, "I don't pay attention to baseball unless the Dodgers are in it." So how can that be ignorant? Maybe you're ignorant for not reading the thread before you start the name calling
As far as the Dodgers beating the Giants in the NLCS, ya, that'd suck, but I love the drama, and I'd rather take my chances with the Dodgers than Atlanta.

I did read your initial post, but I was talking about your post that I quoted and had nothing to do with your first one.

I am rooting for the Giants to face the Cubs in the playoffs to once and for all show that Dusty wasn't the reason the Giants got them to the World Series. This team has talent. That's why year in and year out the Giants are in contention. Because Brian Sabean is the man and he puts together 25 men that get the job done regardless of who is the manager. I hate Dusty and would love to see him go down against the Giants. I didn't mind him as the 26th man of the Giants but was fed up with him as a manager because of his moves for the last two years. Who pinch hits Tom Goodwin for Reggie Sanders in Game 7????

Re: Giant Fans, what to root for

As a die-hard Dodger fan, I would love to see a Dodgers-Giants NLCS. I can just picture it now. Game 7: One run game, bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, 3-2, 2 out and Bonds at the plate. Who's on the mound? CY Young winner Eric Gagne of course. Bonds fouls a few 97mph heaters off. So what does Gagne come back with? His unhitable 76mph curve ball that freezes Bonds and the Giants, while the Dodgers go on to face the Red Sox in the WS!!!

no way i would root for the dodgers unless the giants directly benefit from it. just get your dodger-hatin' fix during the regular season and then focus on the main goal during the playoffs. plus, the dodgers' pitching is a threat in the playoffs, especially when the pitching rotation goes down to 3 or 4 guys. last year was a anomaly - pitching, even with weak hitting, will get you far into the playoffs.
