Hopefully the first place Baltimore Orioles can keep up their good start going. Just keep winning.

Philadelphia draws Washington and Florida....should be two series wins, possibly a sweep of Washington. Get some!

Rays have three games @ Boston and four games vs. Minnesota.

          Ugh!

It sure doesn't help that they are batting .163 as a team 9 games into the season either.

Minnesota is playing lousy baseball as well.

Prolly an easy sweep of the Marlins. Javier, Anibal, Volstad starting that series, I only trust Anibal and he's started off slow.

Wasting good starter outings is never a good thing. Need a little bounce-back week here.

Indians need to win tonight, because if we have to beat Haren and Santana to win a series...yikes.

Thank God that first week-plus is over for the Red Sox.

Blue Jays bats have gone cold relatively speaking. It doesn't help that they go up against King Felix tonight. Hopefully they can get their mojo going again against the other M's starters. They then go to Beantown for a 4 game set. I'm hoping Boston is still somewhat struggling by then.

                      A couple other notes

                      - Rajai Davis seems to be injured again, this time his ankle forced him to exit yesterday's game early

                      - Jo-Jo Reyes looked a LOT better though he had to throw quite a lot of pitches. He really needs to get his pitches lower in the zone but otherwise it was a vast improvement from his first start as he only allowed 1 ER.

I am surprised how little is being made of Jeter's start. After the Yanks gave him all that money, he has really looked overmatched at the plate. I know it's early, but he looks like a continuation of last year's struggles. I think we all knew it, but the Yanks will regret that contract.

Yes, but look at what a leader Jeter is!

I hate Jeter. But I give him credit for using his weight against the Yankees to get paid before he left for good.

Jeter strikes me as a guy with a lot of pride. If he's struggling consistently then I wouldn't be surprised if he retires shortly after getting his 3000th hit.
