The Jays play some exciting baseball don't they?

Although the bench is now completely depleted as I'm pretty sure Jayson Nix is gonna end up with some kind of ligament damage in his knees once they do the MRI tomorrow. This pretty much means the bench consists of Woodward and Molina.

As for the Johnny Mac, the guy is a folk hero in this city and the kind of performances in the field and the walk off tonight certainly keeps that storybook love affair with the guy going. I've always thought that if he had a better bat he'd be recognized as one of, if not the best infielder in baseball today. He'd almost certainly have a few Gold Glove.

Jose Bautista once again proved that last year was no fluke and he showed tonight that he's beyond just going for personal glory as he certainly could've swung the bat the couple times he walked late in the game with the chance for the cycle looming for him. I think it's fair to say right now that Bautista is among the best players in the game today. If you had said that to anyone at the start of last season you'd be laughed out of the baseball forums here on OS.

I talked badly about Jo-Jo Rayes tonight but despite the line not looking ALL that great, he was able to give a strong performance and looked more like the pitcher the Jays saw in spring training. So maybe he's finally getting back in the right direction.

In other Jays related news it looks like Jesse Litsch will be called back up to be the 5th starter on Tuesday.
