Just as avoidable? Yes. Worse than a DUI, which means that you're out on the road driving around endangering your life and the lives of others? Absolutely not. I know you aren't really saying that but what your boy did is much worse. I don't think sanity has anything to do with it.

Re: Reds' pitcher Mike Leake arrested for theft
Now I'm not saying a DUI is a joke or anything but with stealing you know it's wrong but with a DUI you could blow a .08 and not know your over the limit. For some people it doesn't take much to go over the limit and they might drive thinking they are good when really they are not. What I'm saying is stealing is flat wrong. No grey area while a DUI, depending how high you are over the limit has some grey area so I can understand why someone stealing can be more stupid then someone with a DUI. A DUI can be a mistake. You don't steal by mistake. Hope that made some sense.

Re: Reds' pitcher Mike Leake arrested for theft
I wonder what was going through his head. I mean why steal when you can easily pay for it. And especially when you're a MLB pitcher. The public will be much worse on him then whatever charges he gets. I just don't get it.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Reds' pitcher Mike Leake arrested for theft
This actually sounds like a prank. He was a rookie last year but he went straight to the majors so maybe in the Reds world, he's still subject to hazing. I mean lets look at what we do know:
1. millionare athlete that could be recognizable stealing a bunch of shirts from Macy's
2. he was specifically wearing his teammate's gear? and acting like him when he was nabbed?
3. he was stealing shirts of his division rival
Had to be hazing. I'm just surprised no one has stepped up to stop the nonsense yet.Comment
