That looked bad. Flowers wrist hit the top of the wall. It might have been two years ago.

I like this new Bonifacio, idk if it's Mckeon's managing or what but he's starting to bunt more and putting his blazing speed to use for once

          Sounds like a McKeon influence....

I've always liked Trader Jack. He's a damn good manager too bad this'll only be a one year thing.

Yeah depending on how the rest of the season plays out and if he wants to i'd love for him to be the manager for atleast the next season in our new stadium. With the talent on this roster there is no reason the marlins shouldn't be a playoffs team soon

You are in the wrong division for that. Unless they change the divisions, you have to past the Braves and Phillies for that to happen.

Phillies yeah they'll be better but who knows about their offense in the next year or 2. Braves are great too, but i think the talent and potential of the Marlins is better slightly then the Braves

As long as your franchise can sign those players. In other news. If Posey is healthy and Belt and Crawford are the real deal and Gary Brown keep getting better. I like the Giants team as a team to be reckoned with.

Haha I'll worry about a potential firesale in like 4-5 years, as guys like Stanton/LoMo/Gaby are still under team control for awhile with Hanley/JJ/Nolasco having multi year deals. However if they did another huge firesale with a new stadium i'd stop following the team.

So I went to the game Sunday. Best baseball game I've been to since game 163 against the Tigers.

                        Some highlights:

We had great seats and managed to get them for face value. We were about 10 rows up looking at an imaginary line through 1st and 3rd on the 1st base side. Got a great vantage point to watch the cat-and-mouse game between the pitcher and the runner on 1st. Not many foul balls came our way though. The lefties were fouling them off the opposite way all day, but not the righties for whatever reason.

Jim Thome hit a home run off of Grienke on the first pitch he saw of the day. Went up there looking for a fastball and got it. It boggles my mind why a pitcher would throw him a fastball down the middle on the first pitch. He's made a career out of hitting that one.

The Brewers went up 6-1 early and we figured it was over. Twins got a rally going the very next inning, though. With two outs and two on, Rene Tosoni stepped to the plate and an audible groan went up among the crowd. I think I called him a rally-killer. Then he hit a 3-run home run and if I didn't see it live, I wouldn't have believed it.

Then another unbelievable rare thing happened a little later to complete the comeback. Jim Thome scored on a non-home run from first base after toughing out a walk. How could this have happened? Well, the ball was lined directly at Mark Kotsay in left for a base hit, except he somehow ole'd the ball to the wall for a two base error. Watching Jim round 3rd, I thought he was going to pass out halfway to the plate, lol.

All in all it was a great and entertaining day at the park. Much better than the 11-1 drubbing I had to endure in Milwaukee last weekend.
