Honestly, though, you're probably dead-on with that. Darn.

              Pete Rose > Derrick Jeter.

I hear what you are saying with the five rings he probably gets in, but with Baseball's Hall. There are still no doubts. 3,000 hits in. 500 HR in! And 300 wins in!

First off, Rose would have been a first ballot HOF'r if not for his off the field discretions. Secondly, not everyone with 3,000 hits, 500 HR, 300 wins gets in...I doubt McGwire, Sosa, Palmerio, or Clemens sniff the HOF.

This made me laugh as well. Saw that and thought: "There it is."

But seriously, congrats to the Captain. Nice to know I had the chance to watch many of those hits as a fan of the team.

Not if you're a SS with Jeter's stats, rings, accolades, and reputation.

He could have retired this past off season, and there still would've been 0% chance of him not making it in.

Lol, OK. If you say so. But to be honest I am not saying that when I said he would get in the hall now. I am saying you can't argue it at all now. Even from old school people. 3,000 hit is automatic in!
