Yeah, the beard was last year's iconic thing, along with the "torturous victories" label. This year we have to reinvent our team with something else. I think that's what's going to take us through the playoffs. No more "Ross is Boss," no more "Huff Daddy," and definitely no more "Fear the Beard."

      Phillies own Derek Lowe.

Ever since that NLCS victory over him, we've had his number

I love Eric Thames' enthusiasm but he kinda made a fool out of himself saying that everyone better watch out for the Jays after the All Star break LOL

Oh well, I can't wait for Lawrie to come up soon.

Eh, not for me. I mean the Phillies have gotten to him a few times, but more often than not he shuts them down

Yeah, but in their last twenty-seven losses, they're 0-27.

Was it really all that necessary to post all of this? That's not annoying at all.

Oh and I thought this was funny...

                      Jayson Werth batting average .215
                      Cliff Lee batting average .220

I've always been a big fan of stats to back up an opinion, seeing the numbers is a good thing.

Yeah, same. For instance, I was happy to be corrected when I made the assumption that Adam Dunn was seeing less fastballs in the American League.

Statistics are what make David Eckstein the true player that he is on paper... a piece of crap.

Yep, otherwise I could say something like the Phillies have owned Derek Lowe recently
