Would you want more for Span? I would have to think the Twins would want more for Span even though Revere is doing pretty good.

Revere has a sub-600 OPS, no walks, no power.


Span is worth multiple Drew Storens, he's a reliever.

I wouldn't part with Span unless we got more. Ben Revere isn't a guy who I would want in the starting lineup, OPS and OPB are terrible especially for a guy hitting leadoff.

Don't you think his numbers are a pretty small sample?

They're a continuation of his minor league track record.

His average is bound to go up, but that will only make his line slightly less abysmal.


Over his last 1,300 plate appearances he has 90 BB (well below average walk rate) and just 45(!) XBH. Like every other "I can run fast" player before him, speed can only do so much for you the higher up the professional ladder you go.

If the Beltran for Wheeler trade goes through...I'd be thrilled.
A top tier pitcher for a rent-a-player is a good trade IMO.
Wheeler has a great fastball. He just needs some polishing.
