The Twins want Roger Bernadina along with a reliever in any deal that sends Span to the Nationals:
Clippard and Bernadina would be a nice haul for Span IMO but I think the Twins should ask for another piece.Comment

Seattle will get also get a player to be named later, and it could be a "pretty significant name." :

Way to good of a return. I don't know WTF Theo was thinking. It only makes sense as a precursor to another deal, but then again it doesn't make sense because who really wants Aviles more than Navarro?Follow me on Twitter: @ADice15Comment

I can't imagine St. Louis would be able to put together a package for Hanley..
Nationals are making headway with the Twins on a deal for Denard Span. The Twins are insisting Storen be included along with a second player:
The Diamondbacks are close to acquiring Jason Marquis:

Re: 2011 MLB Trade Deadline Thread
Which makes sense if it is. Jack Z and various sources say its a significant prospect that will be named by August 20. When are significant prospects PTBNL in trades? When they're not yet eligible to be traded. Smyly isn't eligible to be traded at the moment, but is starting on August 16.
Then again, it could be anyone from last year's draft.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: 2011 MLB Trade Deadline Thread
Rockies have lowered their price down a bit- they are no longer asking for Manny Banuelos from the Yankees; Dellin Betances, Ivan Nova, and Jesus Montero would work. The Yankees are still saying no, though. The Rockies have a scout watching Nova tonight:
Yankees fans, Rockies fans, would you do that deal?Comment
