    Piazza looks good at first

Piazza played first for 2 innings Thursday and looked comfortable, even snagging a few out of the dirt. Hopefully this will be the start of the transition.

He also snagged a liner hit by Carlos Rivera. Didn't have to move much but he did make a nice grab

1B is probably the easiest for a catcher to transition to other then the corner outfield. I think that this has been a long time coming. IMO Piazza should've playing 1B at least 2 yrs ago.

He'll be a decent glove but nothing spectacular.

I think 3rd base is also relatively easy on a catcher since they should already have a good arm, although first base is probably every catcher's second favorite position.

I don't know about that. Really anyone should be able to easily throw it pretty hard from 3rd to first. Catchers aren't used to fielding ground balls, so 3rd base would be hard since they hit them so hard.

First base, they don't field as many grounders, for the most part they only have to catch throws from infielders.
