1B is probably the easiest for a catcher to transition to other then the corner outfield. I think that this has been a long time coming. IMO Piazza should've playing 1B at least 2 yrs ago.

I think 3rd base is also relatively easy on a catcher since they should already have a good arm, although first base is probably every catcher's second favorite position.Comment

I don't know about that. Really anyone should be able to easily throw it pretty hard from 3rd to first. Catchers aren't used to fielding ground balls, so 3rd base would be hard since they hit them so hard.
