And as far as how far the Cubs can go, don't count them out. When Florida won the series back in 1997 nobody thought they'd make it that far. And when Arizona took on the mighty Yankees who gave them a shot to win it all? Not many! Go Cubs!

I'm sure Harry Carry is screaming at the top of his lungs up in Heaven tonight, Cubs Win, Cubs Win, Holy Cow, Cubs Win!!!!

Congratulations on your admission of guilt. Ortiz was one of the worst 20 game winners in a long time. Maybe next time you *should* look into the numbers a little bit. Ortiz's numbers were a product of a great offense and solid defense. Put him on a sub-par team and he's crap.

Right, Ortiz was no better than a 3rd or 4th starter. In fact, he has fewer quality starts (20) than he does wins (21). That means in 14 starts he was worse than a 4.50 era pitcher.

Yes I didn't look into the numbers because my girlfriend was over and I didn't feel like looking up all his stats. I'd actually rather pay attention to her than sit on the internet looking for stats (some of us DO have lives and not just internet ones). I don't think I deserved that kind of response.

PS - I know more about baseball and stat's than most people. I'm very big into Sabermetrics which is the mathematical and stat analysis of baseball records/stats. After looking deeper I see that he had a horrendous 1.31 WHIP - and we all should know that WHIP according to sabermetricians is one of the most telling pitcher stats.
