Castilla kills the Cubs. That guy earlier in the thread who said he's not afraid of him might want to check his stats when he played against the mighty(or not so mighty) Cubs

Re: CUBS!!!!!
You see, those 4 pitchers have 0 playoff experience. Maybe Wood has the one series in 98 i don't really remember but that's it. Hell, Wood is THE most overrated pitcher in the league. He's the staff "ace" who hasn't ever won more then 13 games in a year? That's REAL dependable, not to metntion he either strikes out 15 or gives up 15 homers. Zambrano, just last weekend he got lit up by Jason Bay and Jason bay alone. Clement, he's the same way.
Face it, Prior's the only go to guy they have. And he has no idea what October is.Comment

Re: CUBS!!!!!
You can spout off all this overated crap, but when you have 3 pitchers with an era waaaay below 4, and your 4th starter isn't to far over 4, you have a scary staff. I do think the lack of postseason experience from the pitchers will keep them from going to far, but the Cubs have a very, very good staff.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

So is Russ Ortiz.. he's actually one of the most medicore pitchers in baseball.

Didn't Ortiz win 21 games this year?? I wouldn't call that overrated. However, I didn't look deeply into his numbers...Comment

That's a load of crap because the Dodgers didnt even make the playoffs with the best staff in the league.

You are missing the point. Dominant starting pitching *can* beat good hitting in a short playoff series. The context is not a 162 game season anymore.
I am not saying the Cubs will beat the Braves, I would be shocked if they do (because Ortiz/Hampton/Maddux can easily shut the Cubs down). Just clarifying the cliche.Comment
