I hope he goes to Boston. Realistically, he stays in Colorado.

After seeing what he could do against the Red Sox last year in interleague, I REALLY hope the Yankees don't get him. After seeing what the Rockies wanted from the Reds, I think he'll stay in Colorado.

Jays are surprisingly in the mix as well. Was reported today they have interest in Jimenez.

Wow, busy day for the Jays, I guess I should've read up before posting. lol

On July 27, 2011, Rasmus was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays along with P. J. Walters, Brian Tallet and Trever Miller for Edwin Jackson, Octavio Dotel, Marc Rzepczynski and Corey Patterson.[14][15]

I don't see the Jays getting in on Ubaldo. They are reportedly done trading. (mlbtraderumors.com)

Indians are in but they refuse to give up the prospects needed. (Alex White, Drew Pomeranz, etc.)

Dont think hes going anywhere. His contract isnt breaking the bank. I just think the Rockies are getting scared cause he might not show the same form as last year, and they want to strike while the iron is hot. If i was ANY of these teams, i would back off to wait and see if his control, and velocity comes back. Then, and only then would i send valuable prospects for him.

Good call. His velocity is down and they definitly want to strike while iron is hot.

I think they have the freedom to move him say for maybe Banuelos, Montero, and maybe couple lower tier guys.

Rockies rotation stands at U, Cook, Hammel, Chacin, Nicasio with Esmil Rogers just being activated and De La Rosa coming back next year.

I have read that the Rockies are asking for Montero, Banuelos, AND Dellin Betances. So what errks me is what about Wilin Rosario? Why not trade Fowler, Ianetta, and Ian Stewart for pitch/field help? Why get rid of Ty Wigginton if hes a good utility player?

Heh, i think its about time the Monforts open up the wallets and actually go AFTER someone. Hell, i would have givin a good look at Beltran since the Mets wanted to eat his contract. I would have given them Rosario and then dump ubaldo to the yanks for Montero and some arms...

I don't think he'll get traded by the deadline, the price is just simply too high as he's not the same guy from the 1st half of 2010, and besides, there's cheaper alternatives out there.

P.S. Shouldn't this be more suitable in the pro ball section?

Yeah, I posted that before their 11 player mix up yesterday. I'll take Rasmus as a 24 year old with lots of potential.

Toronto should've been included in the poll though as they were definitely extremely interested and who knows, they still have some potential trade bait. I don't get what the deal is with Teahan though, take on a HUGE salary at 3B when they have Brett Lawrie ready to go almost in AAA? That's the only part I didn't like.

Yeah I had to keep it to five, I guess I could have thrown out Colorado, but they are overwhelming favorite.

Does anybody feel like Rasmus should have gone to White Sox?
