Lawrie set to make his home debut against the A's this week. I sure hope that more people than usual come out to see this kid because the bleating and crying out to see him called up has been happening all summer and now he's up with the big club.

Maybin is quietly having a good year.

I was about to mention something about Maybin. Hoyer did good on sending a pair of relievers for him, granted the Marlins didn't have room for him with Morrison, Coghlan, and Stanton. Hopefully he starts getting more walks, but his defense and speed have been great. A very good improvement over Anthony Gwynn Jr.
